The Durham affiliate is very concerned with the health conditions of infants and children, and ensuring that families receive quality resources and tools as it relates to family health. Since 2000, the affiliate has partnered with North Carolina Central University's Speech and Hearing Clinic to provide speech, language and hearing services to families with children 0-5 years of age. The project provides information and training materials in both English and Spanish, a parent resource library for local and on-line information, as well as bi-lingual support groups for parents.
