The Miami affiliate programs focus on early care and education, health, mentoring and tutoring. Over the years, the affiliate has continually disseminated information to parents on educational testing such as the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT), exposing elementary school children to community tutoring and mentoring after-school programs, and decreasing health disparities that exist among African American infants and children, specifically Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. The Miami affiliate is one of NBCDI's partners for the Cross Cultural Partnership Project to ensure that quality early care and education is accessible to the most vulnerable children in the Miami-Dade community.
