Events & Programs

BCDI-Albany recently hosted a "Breaking the Pipeline: School to Prison" community forum on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Albany Public Library, Washington Avenue Branch. The event included a panel and documentary screening of "Strange Fruit Redux" by Dr. Hakim M. Rashid, Professor at Howard University. Panelists included Director of SUNY at Albany's Liberty Partnership, Richard Smith, MA.

As part of their ongoing work to help children throughout the City School District of Albany develop into strong readers making positive life choices, BCDI-Albany recently donated a copy of “At the Farmer’s Market” to each of the nearly 1,000 prekindergarten students that the district serves.
