Strengths-Based Programs and Advocacy
Through our reports, curriculum, programs and unique products, the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) and our Affiliate Network is changing the Black families and the narrative surrounding Black Children. NBCDI produces National and state-based Being Black Is Not a Risk Factor reports that highlight statistics, best and promising practices and strengths-based solutions. The publication is designed to challenge the prevailing discourse about Black children?one which overemphasizes limitations and deficits and does not draw upon the considerable strengths, assets and resilience demonstrated by our children, families and communities.
