NBCDI COVID-19 Matching Campaign
The National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) proudly announces our NBCDI COVID-19 Matching Campaign, in support of families experiencing food insecurity during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Established in 1970, NBCDI is one of the only national organizations dedicated exclusively to the success and well-being of Black children. We engage leaders, policymakers, professionals, and parents around critical and timely issues that directly impact Black children and families.
With the support of our Affiliate network in communities across the country, we are committed to our mission “to improve and advance the quality of life for Black children and families through education and advocacy.”
What is the NBCDI COVID-19 Matching Campaign?
COVID-19 has caused an alarming rise in food insecurity in communities throughout the nation. In response, NBCDI is partnering with Community of Hope AME Church in Temple Hills, MD and Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, IL to support the local distribution of free groceries to people who need them.
NBCDI will match donations to the NBCDI COVID-19 Matching Campaign up to $7,500. A donation of $100 will provide groceries for 300 people. We welcome all donations of any amount.
How and when can I donate to the campaign?
