That is why for more than 45 years the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) has produced the Calendar of Children. The calendar is more than a collection of images. It is a celebration of the many shades and colors of Black people, a testament to the beauty and strength of Black children and families, and an acknowledgment of Black achievement.
Help us to tell our story—and yours.
For the first time ever, NBCDI’s Calendar of Children will feature Black families. Between now and Friday, July 14, 2017, submit photos of your family and children (infants to age 8) to firstname.lastname@example.org. The 2018 Calendar of Children will emphasize activities that reflect NBCDI’s core programs – families with children at play, reading their favorite books, making healthy meals together, engaging in outdoor activities, and more.
We are looking forward to seeing photos of you and the #StrongBlackChild in your life.
