National Black Child Development Week (NBCDW) raises community awareness about important issues impacting Black children and families. The goal of NBCDW 2016 - themed "A Week of Action" - was to educate, empower, organize and mobilize our community to advocate for Black children and families. From our #NBCDIWholeSchoolWholeChild Twitter Chat, to our Parent Power Bootcamp in partnership with the US Department of Education, to publishing the insightful thoughts of experts in early care and education, social justice, and civil rights on Purging the Preschool to Prison Pipeline in the blogosphere, NBCDW was truly "A Week of Action!"
