Black Child Development Institute-Dallas/Fort Worth Metro (BCDI-Dallas/Fort Worth Metro) executive and general members participated in Educational First Steps’ Annual Early Childhood Conference on January 29, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. The theme of this year’s conference was “Are We There Yet? Why Our Professional Development Matters.” BCDI-Dallas/Fort Worth Metro hosted a panel discussion entitled, “The Importance of Family Involvement in Early Care and Education.” Moderated by BCDI-Dallas/Fort Worth Metro President Dr. Nedra Y. Washington, the panel consisted of Drs. Leslie Griffin, Daphne Harris, Sheila Lumar, and early care and education professional Tobitha Stromile, Owner and Director of W.I.S.E. Academy in Cedar Hill, Texas.
