NBCDI’s Virtual 50th Anniversary Conference:
October 14-15, 2021!
Established in 1970, the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI) is a national nonprofit organization with a mission “to improve and advance the quality of life for Black children and families through education and advocacy.” For 50 years, NBCDI has been at the forefront of engaging diverse stakeholders to address critical and timely issues that directly impact Black children and families.
Although 2020 marked our 50th year, the public health risk presented by the COVID-19 pandemic prompted us to shift to a virtual 50th Anniversary Conference. Regardless of the format that our celebration takes, NBCDI is grateful for the opportunity to come together virtually this fall, and is excited to announce that we will additionally be in-person for our 50th Anniversary Conference from October 7-9, 2022! Please check our conference website page closer to the 2022 conference dates for more details.
As we prepare to celebrate our 50th anniversary, NBCDI embraces with enthusiasm the growing calls for change in our country and the organizational initiatives that will propel our next 50 years of dynamic work on behalf of Black children and families. We are excited to begin gathering as a community. Thank you for your continued partnership during this exciting period at NBCDI and in our nation.
