Mya Murphy serves as the Operational Associate at the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI), where she supports internal operations, cross-team coordination, and the implementation of strategic initiatives. In this role, she helps streamline systems, manage logistics, and ensure the organization’s priorities are executed effectively and efficiently.
Mya began her journey at NBCDI as a Program Assistant, providing support on a range of initiatives aimed at advancing equity for Black children and families. She later served as a Research Assistant, where she contributed to program development, data collection, and analysis in support of NBCDI’s national policy and programmatic work. Her well-rounded experience across departments gives her a unique understanding of how mission-driven work is sustained from the inside out.
